This 4-day trek was the second part of our tour. First day we visited the Cotopaxi National Park featuring 5897m Cotopaxi volcano. After a short trail around a lake on 3900m to see how well we handle the altitude, we climbed the refuge at 4810m from the highest car park on 4500m.
After that we drove to the village of Isinlivi where we started 3 day Quilotoa loop: Isinlivi --> Chugchilan --> Quilotoa (a volcano crater lake at 3900m).
